2018 Fantasy Baseball: Waiver Wire Guide–Week 22

2018 Fantasy Baseball: Waiver Wire Guide–Week 22

        Another week of pickups!

12 Team Pickups:

Danny Jansen, TOR C, 22% Yahoo:

An OBP Maven, Jansen appears to be getting regular starts for the Jays down the stretch. Buy him in 12ers, as he has upside and catcher is a wasteland.

Koda Glover, WAS RP, 24% Yahoo:

Glover has the job at least for now in Washington. That should be enough to be interested in him for now. Buy where you need saves.

15 Team Pickups:

Taylor Ward, LAA C/3b, 28% Yahoo:

Ward has prospect pedigree, as he was just outside the 100 mark on Rotowire’s Top 400 Prospects, has catcher eligibility, and a path to lots of PT. Pick him up!

Logan Forsythe, MIN IF, 4% Yahoo:

A guy who popped 20 bombs from the middle infield just 2 years ago, Forsythe has been on one of late: posting an .863 OPS over 59 AB’s since arriving in Minny.

John Gant, STL SP, 21% Yahoo:

A guy who’s name makes him seem more apt to endorse the Declaration of Independence rather than throw gas in The Bigs, Gant has been electric over his past 2 starts: 11.1 IP, 1.59 ERA, a puny .62 WHIP with 10 K’s. Buy him now, he maybe breaking out.

David Bote, CHC INF, 2% Yahoo:

Bote has been getting regular enough run to deserve a look in deep leagues, as long as Bryant remains shelved. He adds a power-speed-batting average dimension to a potent Cubs lineup.

20+ Team (& Only Leagues) Pickups:

Rafael Ortega, MIA OF, 1% Yahoo:

Ortega has been been a stolen base maven lately, hitting out of the lead off spot. Go grab him in deep leagues where you have the need for speed.

Alex Cobb, BAL SP, 19% Yahoo:

This Balty SP is nothing special but he has been spinning lately, posting a 3.52 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP since July 12th with lowly K’s, but in AL Only that is worth something.

Happy hunting this week and if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me directly on Twitter @bieryplox33
