2018 Fantasy Baseball: Waiver Wire Guide–Week 23

Another week of pickups, only a few more weeks left (sadly)!

12 Team Pickups:

Marwin Gonzalez, HOU INF, 67% Yahoo:

Gonzalez has been hot over the last month (91 AB’s), posting 8 homers, 17 runs, 18 RBI’s and a .297 avg. He’s a solid little player when going properly.

Jeff McNeil, NYM IF, 19% Yahoo:

The former golfer is hitting high in the lineup for The Mets and is helping in all cats. Buy the popup player now.

Kendrys Morales, TOR 1b, 52% Yahoo:

After hitting 8 homers in his last 7 games, Big Ken will try to swat more next week, in an NL park. Toronto will likely move Smoak to the bench to get Morales in the lineup.

15 Team Pickups:

Tyler White, HOU 1b, 17% Yahoo:

White has popped up yet again and looks to capitalize on playing time. When given a chance, he has put up numbers: 6 homers, 12 runs, 16 RBI’s and a .333 BA over his past 75 AB’s. He has also been batting cleanup lately, so that only boosts his value even further.

Greg Allen, CLE OF, 12% Yahoo:

The 25 year old does little besides steal bases and score runs, but until Cleveland upgrades it’s CF, Allen makes sense to roster for owners in desperate need for speed.

Billy McKinney, TOR OF, 2% Yahoo:

It appears McKinney has finally found a home North of the Border. He has been productive high in the Toronto order of late, posting 3 homers, 5 runs, 9 RBI’s and a .350 BA over his last 20 AB’s. Keep the bid small on McKinney, but chase the talent with an opportunity.

20+ Team (& Only Leagues) Pickups:

Matt Holliday, COR OF, 1% Yahoo:

Holiday has made his return to Colorado! Steamers’ projection system is bullish on The Coors Slugger, expecting him to produce at a 106 wRC+ clip, a +10% walk rate, and posting a .270+ BA. Buy him now.

Alec Mills, CHC SP, 0% Yahoo:

Mills will get the start this week vs the lowly Mets. Roster him if you are in need of innings and a decent chance at a win.

Happy hunting this week and if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me directly on Twitter @bieryplox33
