There are eight games tonight on the main NBA slate at FanDuel.
Tonight we have Russell Westbrook ($11,800) taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves and we also have James Harden ($11,700) taking on the Atlanta Hawks. They are the only players on this slate over $10,000 dollars.
Neither of these two have what I would call an “ideal” matchup but the reality is if you want to win tonight you will probably need to roster one if not both of these Fantasy studs to win tonight.
If you are going to roll out these two we are going to need to find some value tonight. Let’s see if we can five Saturday night specials and go win some cash with the Flash tonight at FanDuel.
Minnesota Timberwolves PG Kris Dunn ($4900) is running the point for the T-Wolves and is averging 20 FanDuel points for the season and nearly 28 FanDuel points since he became the starter due to an injury to PG Rickey Rubio. The Thunder are allowing PG’s to average 49.86 Fantasy points a game this season and Dunn is exactly what we are looking for tonight in salary relief.
Detroit Pistons SG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ($4800) has a very solid matchup at home against a Denver Nuggets defense allowing SG’s to average 41.98 Fantasy points a game. Over his past three games Caldwell-Pope is averaging 31.5 FanDuel points a game. I like the matchup and the price tonight.
Orlando Magic SF Aaron Gordon ($5900) has a interesting home matchup tonight against a Washington Wizards team averaging just 33.84 Fantasy points a game. This will be the Wizards second game of a back to back and its on the road which is always a nice thing to take advantage of. This season Gordon is averaging 26.3 FanDuel points a game for the Magic and has a 32.5 point ceiling. The price is right and the potential is nice to see tonight.
Philadelphia 76ers PF Richaun Holmes ($3800) has an interesting matchup with a Cleveland Cavaliers defense allowing PF’s to average 38.34 Fantasy points a game. Holmes has been steady averaging 16.8 FanDuel points a game this season and he won’t have to do all that much to make value tonight.
I’m going to stay with the 76ers and look to their young center Joel Embiid ($4800) tonight and his matchup with a Cleveland Cavalier team allowing centers to average 45.46 Fantasy points a game. Embiid is on a minutes restriction and will only play between 20-24 minutes and even with that restriction Embiid and is currently averaging 29.3 FanDuel points. We’ll take that and his price all day long and twice on Sunday!
Good luck at FanDuel!!
