09 Aug Daily Fantasy Sports Picks- MLB- Tuesday, August 9th
SP: John Lackey ($9,400)- Lackey is one of the biggest favorites on the board. He has a .275 wOBA and a 2.83 ERA at home where he has pitched much better.
SP: Rick Porcello ($9,900)- He is 7-1 over his last nine starts, and will take the mound against a pretty weak Yankees lineup. This season Porcello has held the Yankees to a .220 average over 50 AB, and has only given up one HR, and that was to Dustin Ackley. Should be in line for an easy win as his teammates will blast-off against Severino.
C: Mike Zunino ($2,900)- Cheap source of power, facing a lefty so will get the platoon advantage, but just be sure that he is in the lineup.
1B: David Ortiz ($5,100)- Ortiz is hitting .369 vs RHP at home. Overall he is hitting . He is hitting .321/416/.683 vs RHP.
2B: Jorge Polanco ($3,300)- Going overlooked especially now that he is on a 10-game hit streak. He usually bats at the bottom of the order, but that has not stopped him from being productive.
3B: Josh Donaldson ($4,400)- We already know that Donaldson crushes LHP. He is 8-17 with 3 HR vs Smyly.
SS: Jose Iglesias ($2,500)- Has not produced much as of late, but with Maybin probably out of the lineup again for tonight, Iglesias may bat in-between Kinsler and Cabrera, and Jose hits much better off of lefties.
OF: Nelson Cruz ($4,900)- No better play year in and year out vs. LHP. He is hitting .286/.373/.624 vs LHP.
OF: Stephen Piscotty ($4,300)- Piscotty is hitting .343/.439/.648 vs LHP. He is hitting .375 at home vs LHP.
OF: Justin Smolinski ($3,100)- Value play option who is hitting .356/.415/.678 vs LHP. Miley is giving up a .353 wOBA vs RHH.
SP: Rick Porcello ($9,100)- Read above.
C: Martin Maldonado ($2,400)- Nice salary relief here, coming off a game where he hit a HR, and will have a good chance to produce again tonight against a weak pitcher in Jenkins.
1B: David Ortiz ($4,400)- Read above.
2B: Devon Travis ($2,800)- Travis is 12-22 with 3 HR over his last 5 games. A very nice price here especially if he stays in the leadoff spot for the Jays.
3B: Josh Donaldson ($4,300)- Read above.
SS: Orlando Arcia ($2,700)- After going hitless in first two starts, he has hit safely in four straight. Could hit second again which would give him a lot more value at this price-point.
OF: Nelson Cruz ($3,900)- Read above.
OF: Justin Smolinski ($3,900)- Read above.
OF: Hernan Perez ($3,000)- Just take a look at his game logs and you’ll see why he is here, especially in a superb spot against Jenkins who should not be pitching in the majors.
