The Bargain Bin: 15 Best Forwards With Under 10% Ownership (Yahoo!)

Bargain bin time! Here are the 15 best forward adds with under 10% ownership on Yahoo! Fantasy Hockey.

1. Dustin Brown – Los Angeles Kings (9%)

There’s not a whole lot of LW depth in Los Angeles this year outside of Tanner Pearson. Brown is pretty much guaranteed a top 6 role, and opportunity leads to production. Not my favourite on this list but certainly serviceable in deep leagues.

2. P.A. Parenteau – New Jersey Devils (7%)

Playing on the 2nd line with 2nd line PP minutes. He is likely to be either playing with Taylor Hall or Mike Cammalleri all season long.

3. Brandon Sutter – Vancouver Canucks (7%)

2nd line C with 1st unit PP time. He will have an opportunity to put up points on a bad Canucks team with not a whole lot of other options.

4. Radim Vrbata – Arizona Coyotes (6%)

Back in the desert for another stint, the Yotes is where Vrbata has historically produced best. He’s currently on their top line and is producing early on. He’s a good add in many leagues.

5. Mathieu Perreault – Winnipeg Jets (6%)

Playing on a line with highly touted youngster Nik Ehlers and Blake Wheeler. He doesn’t shoot a ton, but can put up a lot of assists if you are in need.

6. Nick Ritchie – Anaheim Ducks (6%)

Currently on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. Need I say more?

7. Alex Wennberg – Columbus Blue Jackets (5%)

Also producing early on, Wennberg is an under the radar player who is getting a lot of ice time in Columbus. The guy puts up points and not much else. Good source for assists if you need.

8. Mikko Rantanen – Colorado Avalanche (4%)

Currently on a conditioning stint, but is set to make his debut this week. It’s a matter of time before he’s on the top line playing with the likes of Matt Duchene and Nate Mackinnon.

9. Pavel Buchnevich – New York Rangers (3%)

Currently injured as well, Buchnevich should be back shortly and slide in nicely on the 2nd line with Mika Zibanejad and either Chris Kreider, Rick Nash, Jimmy Vesey, or Mats Zucarello. No matter who it is, the guy is talented and playing with talent.

10. Tyler Motte – Chicago Blackhawks (3%)

Grab him before it’s too late. He should either be playing with Jonathan Toews or Patrick Kane all year long as long as he continues to produce which he has so far.

11. Josh Bailey РNew York Islanders (3%)

On the top line with John Tavares and Andrew Ladd. The Islanders frequently change lines which means this probably isn’t permanent, but if you are a manager who likes to stream potential point getters, Bailey is a pretty good short-term option.

12. Conor Sheary – Pittsburgh Penguins (2%)

Currently injured, I expect Sheary to play on Sid’s wing when he comes back. Sheary should be back shortly.

13. Vladislav Namestnikov – Tampa Bay Lightning (2%)

The youngster is playing on the first line with Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov. Also is on the first unit powerplay. His ownership should be way higher than 2%.

14. Artturi Lekhonen – Montreal Canadiens (2%)

He’s playing 2nd line minutes on an excellent Montreal team with talented Alex Radulov and Tomas Plekanec. Not my favourite guy on this list but if you are in an extremely deep pool he’s a good add.

15. Pavel Zacha – New Jersey Devils (2%)

The youngster is being given plenty of opportunities to produce. He just got moved up to the top line with Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieri and wouldn’t surprised me if he stuck there for a bit.
